I. OBJECTIVE : Uses the advanced features of a slide presentation


tool to create a multimedia presentation with text,
graphics, and photos; hyperlinked elements;
animation; and embedded audio and / or video.

II. SUBJECT MATTER : Multimedia Presentation Tool

III. PROCEDURES:

A. Review

Identifying advance functions and formulas in excel.

Arrange the following scrambled letters to form a word being


described.

1. _____________ are designed with functions and formulas that will


make calculating numerical data easier and convenient for you.
2. _____________ are calculations that return a result. Without it,
Excel will not calculate a result.
3. _____________ are combinations of functions, operands, and
operators. These are used like when you are manually calculating.

B. Motivation

The teacher will show pictures on the screen.


The teacher will ask the pupils to say something about the pictures.
 Integration of learning: Using local photos.

C. Presentation

Guessing Game

The teacher will show pictures of the slide presentation icons / logo.
The pupils will identify the slide presentation icons / logo.

D. Activity

Slide Presentation Making

Instructions:

a. The class will be divided into four groups.


b. Each group will be given an activity sheet that contain steps on how
to make a slide presentation.
c. Each group will choose their encoder / editor and reporter
d. Each group will do the demonstration in front of the class.

Group 1: How to Add Video Clips from File

Steps:
a. Go to the Microsoft PowerPoint presentation.
b. Choose a slide that you want to use.
c. Type the name of your group on the slide.
d. Click NEW SLIDE. Click INSERT tab from the menu bar. Then go to
VIDEO or MOVIE button then click VIDEO ON MY PC.
e. Find the video that you want to insert then click the video and click
INSERT.
f. Save your presentation on the desktop.

Group 2: How to Add Music or Sound Clips from File

Steps:
a. Go to the Microsoft PowerPoint presentation.
b. Choose a slide that you want to use.
c. Type the name of your group on the slide.
d. Click NEW SLIDE. Click INSERT tab from the menu bar. Then go to
AUDIO button then click AUDIO ON MY PC.
e. Find the audio or music that you want to insert then click the music
and click INSERT.
f. Save your presentation on the desktop.

Group 3: How to Put Animation to Slides

Steps:
a. Go to the Microsoft PowerPoint presentation.
b. Choose a slide that you want to use.
c. Type the name of your group on the slide.
d. Click NEW SLIDE. TYPE the word “ANIMATION”.
e. Click ANIMATION tab from the menu bar. Then choose the type of
animation that you prefer.
f. Save your presentation on the desktop.

Group 4: How to Add Hyperlink

Steps:
a. Go to the Microsoft PowerPoint presentation.
b. Choose a slide that you want to use.
c. Type the name of your group on the slide.
d. Click NEW SLIDE. TYPE the word “HYPERLINK”.
e. Highlight the word “hyperlink” then RIGHT CLICK. Choose the
HYPERLINK option. Choose from the options found in the INSERT
HYPERLINK dialog box. Once done, click OK.
f. Save your presentation on the desktop.

E. Analysis

The teacher will discuss the different Multimedia Presentation Tool.

Media Presentation software – is a tool that does not simply use


pictures, sounds, and text but also uses the following helpful elements
that will convey messages.

Multimedia Presentation Tool:

1. Video Clips – are short clips or video, usually part of a longer


recording.

2. Music or Sound Clips – is a file that contains a short audio item,


usually an excerpt from a longer recording.

3. Animation – is a sequence of effects to your slides and its content


that gives the illusion of continuous motion when rapidly displayed
one after the other.

4. Hyperlink – is a link from a hypertext file or document to another


location or file, typically activated by clicking on a highlighted word
or image on the screen.

F. Application

The teacher will let the pupils perform the following activities in front
of the class.

1. Open the power point presentation software and choose any slide
then type the word “APPLICATION” all in capital letters in Tahoma
font style and 100 font size.

2. Change the font color into red and click the transition in the menu
bar and choose “curtain” transition.

3. Click NEW SLIDE. Then type the word “VIDEO”. Insert video from
the video file with the title “OPENING PRAYER”. Play the video.

4. Highlight the word “application”, right click then click HYPERLINK.


Go to the CURRENT FOLDER in the documents and look for the files
“DESPACITO”. Click OK.

G. Abstraction

The teacher will ask the following questions.

1. Who can give an example of a multimedia presentation software?

2. What are the different multimedia presentation tool?

IV. EVALUATION

Instructions:

Identify the following statements. Write the correct ICT terminologies.


Choose your answer inside the box.
