Objective & Well Data

1 Objective:

The objective of this job is to cement the 24" Casing with 15.8 ppg Class G cement slurry and raise the cement

to the surface.

2 Well Data:

Casing Size: 24" @ 589 ft TVD

Previous Casing: 30" @ 48 ft TVD

Hole Size: 28"(100% Excess considered on open hole volume)

Mud Weight: 9.5 ppg
Pre-flush Volume: 50 bbl (Water)
Slurry Density: 15.8 ppg
Slurry Volume: 251 bbl
Displacement Volume: 9.75 bbl of 9.5 ppg mud

Procedure & Recommendations

PROCEDURE FOR THE 24" CASING CEMENT JOB
RIG: KDC-26
WELL: RQ-192

1. RIH DP stinger and check stinger sealing before mixing cement.

2. Circulate and condition mud. Recommended YP less than 10 pphf.
3. Pressure test lines to 3,000 psi.
4. Pump 50 bbls @ 6 bpm of water as pre-flush.
5. Fly-Mix & Pump 251 bbls (100% EXCESS) of 15.8ppg slurry @ 4 bpm.
6. Displace it with 9.75 bbls of 9.5 ppg mud @ 8 bpm. (Rig to recalculate the volume)
7. If no back flow is observed, sting out and POOH. (Flush the pipe with 3 - 4 bbls after sting
out to ensure no cement inside the DP).
8. WOC of 22 hrs.
9. If cement level is not visible at surface, carry out cement top-up job with 15.8ppg Class G
cement slurry.
RECOMMENDATION

 Condition the Mud prior to the cement job and reduce the YP of mud less than 10 (pphfs).

 This Program is tentative however any changes take place in the planned Program. The
program has to be revised accordingly.

 We recommend doing the top job with 15.8ppg Class-G cement.

 Mix Fluid, Slurry samples to be collected, one set of Samples to Company Man and one set to
NAPESCO Lab.

 NAPESCO recommends to Pump Spacer Volume to avoid channeling.

 100 bbl @ 15.8 PPG equivalents (neat cement) has to carry out to the location for top job.

 NAPESCO recommends 20 hrs WOC.

 Re-Calculate the displacement volume as per the actual pipe tally on location.

 Frac density of around 17 ppg at TD has been assumed in the simulation.

 DO NOT EXCEED PUMPING PRESSURES. ALWAYS KEEP THE CASING COLLAPSE

PRESSURE IN MIND WHILE PUMPING / DISPLACING CEMENT

Top Job (In case Level Drops):

 15.8ppg Class G: The first batch should be 40 bbl without CaCl2. The Second batch, if required,
should be 25 bbl having 1-2% CaCl2. In case of losses, wait for 2 hrs. Before the 2nd Top Job.
Subsequent Top Jobs may be of 25 - 40 bbl batch size depending on the losses. In case of minor
losses, check static level with water before carrying out next Top Job.
 After 2nd Top Job and in case of repetition, Loosen the BOP studs keeping 4 diagonal studs intact.
 Observe the well for 1/2 hour after the 2nd top job and set casing slips if found well to be static.
 Continue top job @ 2 hr. duration with 40 bbl batch size through one side of well head valve keeping
the other side open till cement to surface & level static.
 If there is gas inflow contact D.E. Prepare 100 bbl of 100 PPB heavy doze LCM pill. The same may
be pumped followed by 50 Bbl of 15.8 PPG Class-G cement treated with 1 - 2% CaCl2.
 If gas influx continues contact D.E. again for next course of action.
