Procedure & Recommendations

PROCEDURE FOR THE CEMENT BALANCE PLUG & SQUEEZE
RIG: KDC-55
WELL: BG-403

1- RIH 1200 ft of 3 1/2" O.ETbg (ID - 2.992") crossover to 3 1/2" DP to 4,660 ft (To be confirmed before the
job).

2- Circulate & condition the hole. Conduct Safety Meeting

3- R/U cements lines and test lines to 3,000 psi.

4- Prepare 33 bbls of 15.80 ppg cement slurry in batch mixer.

5- Pump 10 bbls @ 4 bbl / min of Fresh Water as Spacer ahead.

6- Batch mix & pump 33 bbls @ 4 bbl / min 15.80 ppg (reconfirm from company man) Cement slurry as per
attached report.

7- Pump 3.14 bbl @ 4 bbl / min of fresh water as spacer behind (to be calculated on the location based on the
tally).

8- Displace with +/-24.80 bbl @ 4 bpm of well fluid. (Under displace to balance point by 1-2 bbl) of well fluid
(to be calculated as per pipe tally)

9- Pull out slowly at 20 ft /min above 200 ft theoretical Top of Cement and reverse circulate 1.5 string Volume.

10- Pull out further 3 joints and then squeeze cement at max 900 psi to attain lock in squeeze pressure
depending on well behavior during squeezing i.e also employ hesitation if there is good intake (reconfirm
from company man).
Do not squeeze all the volume at least keep 23 bbl of slurry in front of perforation as a plug.

11- Switch to rig pump and keep well under pressure for 6 hours only if max pressure is obtained at 900 psi
the release pressure and POOH.
If max pressure is not obtained at 900 psi do not put plug under pressure

12- WOC for 24 hrs.

RECOMMENDATIONS

1- The Final Slurry volumes to be determined by company man based on Injectivity.

2- All fluids have to be pumped by cement unit.

3- Confirm Slurry Design from KOC Cementing and Engineering Dept.

4- NAPESCO does not recommend placing a plug above 900 ft in column length.

5- A good injectivity rate must be obtained to achieve a better bonding and seal by the cement.

6- Squeeze volume and squeeze pressure need to be confirm with the company man prior to the job.

7- The final Displacement Volume & spacer behind volume are to be recalculated as per actual pipe tally on
location.

8- Collect mix fluid and cement slurry samples, one set of sample to be given to the Company man and
another set to the NAPESCO lab (Cement Supervisor).
