Process Designer Duties & Responsibilities

Responsibilities for process designer

• This role will support organizations with processes in assigned


Customer Interaction area of focus and directly support the Process
Sub-lead for the assigned streams of work
• Assist in defining and reviewing the functional requirements for the
application, specifically the gaps that will be filled through
enhancements (Reports, Interfaces, Conversion Programs,
Enhancements, Forms, and Workflow (RICEFW) components per
the RICEFW inventory
• Support efforts of the Credit & Collections process design and
governance for the CS Re-Platform program
• Support organizations with Credit & Collection related processes,
and directly support the Credit & Collections Process Sub-lead for
the assigned stream of work
• Drives and contributes to the development of the future state Credit
& Collection business process design and requirements, contributes
to the technical design
• Re-engineer, reform, optimize, and create sustainable business
processes for the Credit & Collections process area that can be
incorporated into comprehensive enterprise technology solutions that
meet current and future business needs
• Ensures the completeness and consistency of the Credit &
Collections process design, resolves inconsistencies, compliance
and/or regulatory issues
• This role identifies critical parties in all process alignment sessions
for the CS Re-Platform
• Represents the Credit & Collections process area on the project
team in order to design future state Credit & Collections solutions
that are cost efficient and meet future business requirements
• Ensures the elements of Process Ownership Governance are met
including support in setting strategy, documenting and implementing
processes, prioritizing change, comparing performance, and
assuring compliance and business continuity
• Keep key stakeholders informed including executive sponsors, process
owners, subject matter experts, vendor partners, and project team
members
• Field verify routing and measurements and create details drawings
sufficient for the fabrication and installation of industrial process piping
• Hand draw and/or utilize CAD system to prepare drawings and layouts
as related to job
• Validate and/or prepare bills of material and pre-lists per drawings and
specifications
• Check work of others
• Train less experienced drafters in areas of technical and practice
knowledge
• Recommend course of action to supervision for establishing schedules
and maintain them by directing work of others

of design and fabrication of product
• Responsible for planning, feasibility, design, timely transition to in-life of
Enterprise Products service solutions
• Delivery of Services requirements, including As Is and Gap Analysis
models, cost and competitive analysis
• Being able to manage small to medium scale service delivery for
centrally provided/supported enterprise products
• Communicate business process strategies and solutions across multiple
departments and process teams within the organization and program
• Responsible for gathering control objectives, risks and control
requirements for the impacted business processes
• Identify control solutions for each business process which may include
configuration controls, access controls, IT General Controls (ITGCs),
manual and/or management reporting controls
• Identify process specific risk and develop controls objectives to ensure
risks are adequately mitigated
• Evaluate interface and data conversation process risk from an operation
and systems perspective
• Identify control issues and provide viable controls solutions
• Testing and documentation of agreed-to controls solutions
• Ensure relevant SOX documentation is current and complete
• Coordinate training and knowledge transfer of security and
infrastructure controls concepts to SOX PMO and the applicable I.T
• Specific experience with drafting of intelligent P&IDs in Smart Plant
P&ID software
• Working experience in work share environments with Lead Office
• Self- checking of the drawing before submission to checker
• Co-ordination with engineers for back drafting quality checks
• Reasonable interaction skills to elevate issues to the supervisor
• Lead all sessions with interactions between IT and business user
segments and roles, their characteristics and daily scenarios
• Work with the end-users and IT Delivery to define process requirements
to be built in the BPM solution
• Contribute to the high-level testing approach for the solution
• Acts as business subject matter expert in the systems for their
respective area and provides Subject Matter Expertise to help the cross-
functional team understand the impacts to their business /solutions
when changes are implemented

• Preparing Autodesk AutoCAD 2D drawings and 3D models
• Preparation of the following typical types of drawings General
Arrangements (piping and mechanical arrangements), Hydraulic
Profiles, P&IDs and plant layout drawings
• Develop flow sheets, heat and mass balances, preliminary general
arrangements and control philosophy to complete process design for
supply an industrial scale chemical production or water treatment
system
• Cooperation with engineers and designers of cross-disciplines in Water
Treatment project
• Produce models clash detection reports within specialist BIM software
• Produce and perform discipline BIM training for internal and external
use

Qualifications for process designer

• 5 years of experience developing design proposals while evaluating


considering and incorporating feasibility proposals critical to product
performance and quality
• 3 years of experience using CAD visualization and interactive
immersion tools, including Autodesk VRED
• 3 years of experience performing process engineering related to
Industrial/Automotive Design
• 3 years of experience leading scheduling, timing and work flow
across a design organization
• 6+ years of experience in an designer role
• Demonstrate working level knowledge of DOE and industry codes
and standards systems design
• Competent with equipment layouts and designs

• Experience using ARIS Architect/Designer


• Strong communication skills and “How” competencies to effectively
work with ARIS Community
• Microsoft Office applications and WebEx experience
• Working knowledge of using SharePoint and Discovery
• Experience using ARIS Administration module

• Experience using SharePoint Designer and managing SharePoint


and Discovery sites
• Familiar with the APG (Release Cycle Management) process in
ARIS
• Related business degree or equivalent job experience required
• Knowledge and experience in multiple businesses preferred
• Experience leading meetings with all colleagues within the
organizational structure
• Ability to collaborate effectively with other team members leveraging
technology such as Skype in order to work virtually as needed
• Thinks “outside of the box” and is open to new ideas

• Prior direct purchasing experience or support of the purchasing
function
• Demonstrated prior ability to work on a diverse or global team that
