Third Major Task
A. Scope and Delimitations
This study mainly focuses on the analysis of the behavioral development
of adolescents, specifically the 11th-Grade students of Kidapawan City National
High School (KCNHS), which could either or both be affected by parental
influence or the COVID-19 pandemic.
The setting of this study will be in Kidapawan City National High school,
where our respondents are currently enrolled for the remainder of the school
year 2021-2022. The researchers will choose twelve (12) 11th-Grade students
from KCNHS through convenience sampling. Due to the unpredictable time
frame of every student, we would only choose participants who are available and
willing. The strands included in this study are the four (4) Academic Strands. The
researchers will use a questionnaire type of data gathering through Google
Forms, and it will be distributed to the participants via email or messaging apps.
The
respondents will be properly guided and given sufficient time to accomplish the
questionnaire, and their identities and answers will be assured to remain
confidential.
This study does not include students from other year levels and students
from other schools as respondents as it would be too large of a sample for the little
time the research is to be conducted. The researchers only aim to discover the
effects of parental influence on the behavioral development of the subjects,
especially amidst the pandemic.
B. Significance of the Study
The study focuses on determining and analyzing the behavioral
developments of the 11th-Grade students from KCHNS academic strands
amidst the COVID-19 Pandemic. This will shed light to the mystery as to
why adolescents might behave in such particular manner and it will also
raise awareness to the parents about the impacts of their parenting which
could be detrimental to the behavioral development of their children.
