MECHANICS FOR THE LCST TAGLINE CONTEST
1. The contest is open to all students, personnel, and alumni of the LCST. Entrants may compete individually or as a team with two to five members. The entrant/s must have reached the age of majority at the time of submission of the entry.
2. The individual or group shall submit one (1) entry only. The excess shall be disqualified.
3. Documents for each entry shall be submit ed through the LCST email or physically at the LCST OSA Office.
4. Contestants must submit a one-page resume, a description or explanation of the tagline, and the symbolism behind it.
5. The tagline should convey the following concepts, which project the image of the Libacao College of Science and Technology:
LCST will shine as we are and not compete with anyone
Tagline should have a strong impact to the audience
Should encompass all programs of the college
6. The top five (5) taglines shall be chosen by the Board of Judges on the basis of the following:
RELEVANCE. The entry is aligned with the concepts presented.
ORIGINALITY. The tagline exhibits original design, creativity, and innovation.
QUALITY. The entry is catchy and unique.
7. The winning tagline shall be chosen with finality by the LCST Board of Trustees.
8. The chosen taglines will be awarded the following prizes: To be announced SOON.
9. The tagline must not be racially, sexually, morally, or culturally offensive.
10. All submit ed entries must be original and must not be derived from any pre-existing taglines. All entries should not have been submit ed to any other competitions and should not infringe any existing intellectual property right, such as copyright. Participants must rigidly observe
intellectual property rights law. In any case that a complaint arises due to similarities or likeliness of submit ed entries with other taglines, the participant shall be held accountable and responsible to prove the originality and authenticity of his work.
11. All property rights, including the entire copyright and other intellectual property rights relating to all entries, shall become the sole and exclusive property of the College. The College may modify, alter, and/or adapt its use for any purpose it deems fit. The winning entry will
serve only to help the College in coming up with its official tagline. The College reserves the right to not make use of the winning tagline or any part thereof in the tagline finally adopted by the College.
12. Contestants are required to fill out and submit together with their entries the official entry form, which can be downloaded from the LCST official page Libacao College of Science and Technology | Facebook and the Office of the Student Affairs (OSA).

14. Submit ed entries constitute permission to use the winner’s name, the prize, and information provided on the entry form for publicity purposes without any remuneration.
15. The timeline of the competition is as follows:
September 23, 2022 – Deadline for submission of entries
LCST Tagline Contest 2022
September 26, 2022 – Pre-selection/Short listing
September 27, 2022 – Selection of Top 5 by the Board of Judges
September 28, 2022 – Announcement of the Top 5 taglines
September 30– Final Judging by the LCST Board of Trustees
16. Participants will be notified of the final results through email.

II. AGREEMENT
The undersigned entrant/s accedes that he has read and agrees to be bound by the contest’s official guidelines. Each entrant/s further understands that if his tagline is selected as the winner, he will relinquish all claims, Intellectual Property Rights

III. WAIVER, WARRANTY, AND SPECIAL UNDERTAKING
The undersigned entrant/s undertakes not to hold the College and its officers, agents, representatives, and employees and all members of the Board of Judges and Board of Trustees liable to him whatsoever for any injuries, losses, costs, or damages of any
kind resulting in full or in part, directly or indirectly from his participation in the contest.
He also warrants that his entries are his own original work over which he has absolute and exclusive right, that they have not been entered in any other competition, and that they do not infringe any intellectual property rights of third parties.
Lastly, he undertakes to defend, indemnify and hold harmless the College and its officers, agents, representatives, and employees and all members of the Board of Judges and Board of Trustees from any loss, damage, or liability to or any claim or demand
of any third party due to, arising out of, related to or otherwise attributable to actual or alleged infringement or violation of any intellectual property right asserted by a third party or of these official guidelines, or otherwise arising out of or related to any material or intellectual
property used in the entry, and from any cost and expense, including, without limitation, reasonable attorney’s fees, incurred by the College in connection therewith.

IV. ASSIGNMENT OF COPYRIGHT
