Conditional Sentences
There are three kinds of conditional sentences. The
first kind is Type one ( Present Future). Type one
expresses the possible situations.

The Present conditional: Used to talk about general


truths (facts), habits, routine.
If+ simple Present , Simple present.
Ex. If you walk in wearing jeans and T-shirt, you are
not likely to get the position.
You can also use a model in the result clause ( may
might would could)
Ex. If you walk in wearing jeans and T-shirt, you may
not get the position.

The Future conditional: Used to talk about what will


happen under certain conditions ( future).
If+ simple Present , sentence with ( will )
Ex. If you study hard, You will pass the test.

Note: You can also use when or whether instead of if.

Examples:
