Lifting the Telescopic Mast up

Why?

➢ Will improve the image point of view

➢ Will provide 360° FOV to the LiDAR Top
➢ Will increase the SLAM capabilities in harsh environments

How to do it?

➢ Put the system on the floor or on a table

➢ Unscrew the big wheel between the shoulder strap and the system
➢ Lift the sensor head
➢ Hold it while you are screwing again the wheel
bMS3D: On Site recommendations

Starting the scanning

➢ Make sure a battery is racked into the system

➢ First Start both the system and the tablet

➢ You should hear double click sound while you are switching on the system

➢ Blue light of the switch will blink until the system is ready

➢ Connect the RJ45 cable between the system and the Tablet

➢ Launch the bMS3D application

TRAJECTORY AND OPERATOR BEHAVIOR WHILE SCANNING

➢ Walk normally and smoothly

➢ no big acceleration, SLAM algorithm needs continuity

➢ Optimize the curves and do not turn on yourself quickly

➢ Regular speed

➢ Reduce speed in narrow area (doorstep, narrow corridor)

➢ No climbing
bMS3D: General recommendations

STANDARD USE OF THE BACKPACK SAFETY

➢ bMS3D is supposed to be used on the back of operator ➢ Do not add any components
➢ Do not scan in abnormal humid environment (Device is
➢ The operator can be motorized not water-proof)
➢ Segway ➢ Do not scan in abnormal dusty condition
➢ Electric scooter ➢ Use optical cloth cleaning for LiDAR and cameras
➢ Other, please ask first to VIAMETRIS for ➢ LiDARs are CLASS1 LASER
confirmation

➢ DO NOT mount the system on a vehicle
