Web based Multi Farming System

Abstract

The project entitled as “Web based Multi Farming System” is to design and develop

the application package for well secured dynamic application. This package is originated using

front end as ASP.NET, coding C# with SQL Server. This package requires Visual Studio IDE in

the server for processing the WebPages and client systems requires Windows operating system

and a web browser like internet explorer.

Agriculture is a way of life, a tradition, which, for centuries, has shaped the thought, the

outlook, the culture and economic life of the people of India. The advent of modern technologies

at the beginning of the last century has brought in development of various technologies, which

has substantially increased the yields of various crops. As the rural population becomes computer

literate and access to computers and Internet is guaranteed, the system will provide information

directly to farmers to support their own decisions on improving production and profitability.

In this application, We help farmers to market their products online for reliable price. In

this Farmer can showcase a whole rainbow of vegetables, greens, fruits, herbs, and more. Web

based Multi Farming System consist of three logins ,they are Government Authority , Agent and

the User. Agents are introduced in this application as most of the farmers are computer Illiterate

and cannot access to computers . Agent can login with their authorized username and Password.

After login Agent can add Farmers and their details such as name, Location , Products, Price

etc..So the End-Users can Purchase vegetables, Flowers, Fruits by viewing the farmer details.

Government authority is the authorized person who approves the Price allotted by the

agent. Agent plays the role of the farmer. Only after the approval of the government authority
price of vegetables, fruits will be displayed. End-User can purchase their needs after registering

themselves in this application.

MODULE DESCRIPTION

End-User Registration

User is the end-user who purchase vegetables, fruits, flowers etc. To purchase these

products user have to register himself/herself in this application. User registration consist of

name, phone number, Mail id etc. After registration end-user will be provided with a valid user

name and Password.

Farmer details

Farmer details consist of some of the details of multiple farmers such farmer id, name,

location, Products, Price etc. These details will be maintained by the agent who plays the role of

farmers.
Add products

Agent is the person who adds the Products of the farmers. In this module Agent adds the

products such as Vegetables, fruits , etc online which will be sent for approval to government

authority later.

Price Approval

After adding the products, agent has to wait for the approval of government authority ,

Government authority is the authorized person who will check for the price and approves if it is a

reasonable price.

Purchase

In Purchase module, End-user can choose their products and add to cart and can place

their order.

Report

Records can be generated as reports and can be exported.

Existing System

In existing System, we just rush to the market, Departmental stores to buy vegetables,

fruits etc. People who goes jobs cannot make their time to buy all these things. Cost they buy

cannot be verified people need to pay what the store bill. At the farmer side, they sell their

Vegetables, fruits etc directly to the market so that it is time consuming.

Disadvantages

 Vegetables and fruits in the store may not be fresh sometimes.

 Cost will differ from one shop to another.

Proposed system

Here we propose a Online shopping process in which farmer can sell their products

online with the help of an agent who uploads the farmers profile , vegetable details, cost etc .

User can shop vegetables online by adding their products into cart and after shopping they can

pay online with this application. User can shop fresh and healthy vegetables at their doorsteps.

Disadvantages

 User can buy fresh vegetables.

 Cost will be verified.

 Payment can be made online.

 User can shop by being at home.


 Farmers can also sell their vegetables being at home.
