Task Description

 Fix the traveling route and make sure the ground resistance satisfies traveling
requirement of crane.
 Flag man should be assigned to direct and guard when traveling
 All employees involved in the operation to be aware of hazard
 Foreign materials within lifting area should be clear
 Crane should be positioned on hard and level ground to settlement

Loading/ Unloading of pipe spool Crane Collapse  Crane operator must be physically fit and no mental illness.
 Crane shall be checked in order to ensure that there is no leak of hydraulic oil
or any other defects, before starting job
 Crane must have valid 3rd party test certificates.
 Crane operator shall have Saudi equipment operator license in addition to third
party.
 Crane load chart to be checked.
Hitting the materials.  Capacity and position of the crane has to be checked.
 Crane out rigger pad to be conforming per DIC/discription standard.
 Only authorized signalman to be give signal to crane operator.
 Barricaded the swing radius.
 Set the crane on a firm and level ground close to the load.
 Tool box meeting to be conducted by concerned supervisor before start of
job.
 No erection allowed during harsh weather e.g. wind exceeding 20mph, thick
fog, heavy sandstorm, rain etc.
 Crane load chart to be checked.
 Capacity and position of the crane has to be checked.
 Authorized signalman to be give signal to crane operator
 Pipe shall be stacked properly and it shall not be blocked the main access.
 Stopper must be provided to avoid rolling.
 Materials shall be stacked off the ground using wooden piece.
 pipe Storage area shall be properly barricaded
 Nobody is allowed to stay or pass under suspended load.
 Two tag line to control the Pipe from the safe distance.

necessary to stack the materials not higher than the reach of a person, this is to
avoid climbing over the materials during hitching that will expose the rigger to
fall hazards.
 Audible reverse alarm to be installed to all mobile equipment.
 Pipe spool should be tide with two ropes to control from safe distance.
 Proper access to be provided.
 Scaffolding green tag must be checked while going elevated plate form.
 Wear safety harness and anchored on fixed structure.
 All lifting job is done under the guideline of rigging supervisor.
 Proper access to be provided.
