 FITT acronyms stand for Frequency, Intensity, Time, and Type. FITT principles helps you
get in shape and improve your fitness.
2. What are the different types of floats in swimming?
 The different types of floats in swimming are Tuck Float, Turtle Float, Jellyfish Float, Prone
Float, Back Float spine.
3. Why is it important to observe safety measures in swimming?
 We must be careful and follow the safety measures to not cause injuries, many people risk of
slipping and being injured because they didn’t follow the safety measures.
4. What are the equipment used in swimming?
 They only pieces of equipment necessary for both practices and competition in swimming are
swimsuit, a swim cap and goggles.
5. What is the common mistake in flutter kick?
 Is bending the knees too much that create large amount of drag and sink the leg slowly in the
water can results to sink the body underwater.
6. Why is the breath control important in swimming?
 It helps you relax, release the tension in being underwater and your regular breathing learning
the breath control property can significantly improve performances.

1. What is heart rate?
 The number of times the heart beats within a certain time period, usually a minute.
2. What is resting heart rate?
 Resting heart rate or pulse is the number of times your beats per minute when you are at rest.
3. What is target heart rate?
 It is generally expressed or a percentage of the maximum safe heart rate.
4. How do you get your heart rate?
 At the wrist, lightly press the index and middle finger of a hand on the opposite wrist, just
below the base of thumb. Count the number of beats in 15 secs and multiple by four.

1. Does swimming increase the heart rate?
 Yes, this increase the supply of blood to your arms, legs, and other parts of your body.
2. Is 20 minutes swimming enough?
 Swimming just 30 minutes can help reduce coronary heart disease, stroke, diabetes, and also
burn around 250 calories.
3. Why is the breath control important in swimming?
 Training teaches you to breath faster and deeper and therefore more efficiently. Breathing
exercises help you understand how to breath better while swimming.
4. Why do you breathe water?
 We cannot breathe underwater because the airway (lungs) can spasms and close, or water can
damage the lungs and keep them from taking oxygen.
5. What will you do if breathe water?
 If you breathe water, you have to roll further to the side to get your mouth clear.
6. Why is the crawl stroke important in competition swimming?
 It is the fastest strokes. The reason why the crawl stroke is fast because one arm is always
pulling underwater and able to deliver a powerful propulsion.
