The Ten Commandments of computer ethics.

1) Thou shalt not use a computer to harm other people.


Example:
a. Building or programming a machine that can harm a human.
b. Posting false information against a person

2) Thou shalt not interfere with other people's computer work.


Example:
a. Building a software that can disrupt a person’s work.
b. Making changes of someone’s file without their approval.
3) Thou shalt not snoop around in other people's files.
Example :
a. Reading someone’s email messages or messages in their social media
accounts.
b. Copying someone’s files without their consent.
4) Thou shalt not use a computer to steal.
Example :
a. Breaking to someone’s online banking account and transfer money to your
account.
b. Purchase something online using someone’s credit card information.
5) Thou shalt not use a computer to bear false witness.
Example :
a. Editing a video to make someone look guilty for a crime.
b. Spreading fake news against a person.
6) Thou shalt not use or copy software for which you have not paid.
Example :
a. Installing a software downloaded form a torrent site.
b. Obtaining illegal copies of copyrighted software of an organization.
7) Thou shalt not use other people's computer resources without authorization.
Example :
a. Accessing a system without proper notification to the owner/s.
b. Using an organization/company’s computer resources for personal use.
8) Thou shalt not appropriate other people's intellectual output.
Example :
a. Using someone’s works without acknowledging your source of this
information.
b. Reposting someone image.
9) Thou shalt think about the social consequences of the program you write.
Example :
a. Creating a program that can damaging to health.
b. Designing a game without thinking the effects on the users.

10) Thou shalt use a computer in ways that show consideration and respect.
Example :
a. Bashing someone in social media.
b. Creating a malicious post about someone.
