Experiment 1:: Non-Inverting, Inverting Amplifiers and Voltage Follower

The document describes three experiments conducted using operational amplifiers: 1) Designing and simulating inverting, non-inverting, and voltage follower amplifiers in LTSpice. DC and AC analyses were performed on the output. 2) Designing summer, subtractor, and averaging circuits in LTSpice to perform arithmetic operations. DC and AC analyses were performed on the outputs. 3) Designing a scaling adder circuit in LTSpice to calculate various weighted sums. DC analyses were performed on the outputs.

EXPERIMENT 3: SCALING ADDER CIRCUIT

AIM: To design and study the behaviour of operational amplifier as scaling adder
circuit.

PROCEDURE:
1. Designing the external resistance of the op-amp.
2. Constructing the circuit of scaling adder in LT-Spice.
3. Simulating the amplifiers with dc input.
4. Tabulating the result.

LT-SPICE DIAGRAM:
i. V0 = 2*V1 + 3*V2 + 4*V3
DC OPERATING POINT ANALYSIS:

V0 = 2*V1 + 3*V2 + 4*V3 = 2*(5)+3*(10)+4*(20) mV

= 0.12 V
ii. V0 = -(V1 + 2*V2 + 3*V3 )

DC OPERATING POINT ANALYSIS RESULT:

V0 = -(V1 + 2*V2 + 3*V3 )

=-(5+2*10+3*20) mV
= -0.085 V
iii. V0 = V1 - 2*V2 + 4*V3 -6*V4 + 5*V5

DC OPERATING POINT ANALYSIS:

V0 = V1 - 2*V2 + 4*V3 -6*V4 + 5*V5
= (5-2*10+4*20-6*30+5*40) mV
= 0.085 mV

RESULT:
The operational amplifier is used to perform scaling adder operation.
