 1. thickness of slab: ℎ = = = 150𝑚𝑚 use h=150 mm

 2. calculate loads;
𝑊 . . = 0.15 × 24 + 2 = 5.6𝐾𝑁/𝑚
𝑊 = 5.6 × 1.2 + 3 × 1.6 = 11.52𝐾𝑁/𝑚
 3. check thickness of slab for shear requirements if use Ø=12mm
𝑑 = 150 − 20 − 6 = 124𝑚𝑚

 use the same bar diameter and the same spacing for the positive
reinforcement in the short direction ( i.e. Ø10@150mm).
