II Introduction to UIs

1. Startup Interface

Description:
 The logo of McQuay is displayed.
 The number in the upper left corner is counted down. When the number is counted down to 0, the
main interface is displayed.
 When the number is counted down to 0, press the upper left corner of M to display the Factory

Setting interface.
 When the number is being counted down, press the lower right corner of the interface to skip the
logo and display the main interface.
 When the number is being counted down, press Chinese/English[Frank1] to choose a language
for the UIs.

Description:
 Defrost Check on/off Temp indicates the temperature when the defrost check starts and the
temperature when the defrost ends.
 Return Water Temp Makeup indicates the return water temperature makeups for cooling and
heating purposes.
 When Screensaver Time is set to 0, it indicates that the screensaver is cancelled.

Description:
 After Initialize NVRAM is executed, all the records are cleared, and the system parameter
settings and factory settings are restored to the default values.
2.2.4 Password Setting

Description:
When you set the password, the system will ask you to enter the old password. After you correctly
entering the new password twice, the old password is changed. A password of a higher level can
replace the password of a lower level.

Description:
 Inlet, Outlet and Outdoor respectively indicate the average of the inlet temperature, outlet
temperature and outdoor temperature of all the units in the system.
 The maintenance staff must enter the password before accessing the System Settings and Log
interfaces.

Description:
 Max Defrost Unit Num must be not larger than the number of the units.
 Unit Model can be changed only when the system is off.
 Caution: The parameters set here must be the same with that set through the main control board;
otherwise, the unit will run abnormally.

4.2 Module Address Setting

Description:
 Use the Up and Down buttons to select a unit, and then press Enter. The address of the unit is
sent to the main control board. If the setting succeeds, the system displays that the setting is
completed. Press Enter to save the address. If the setting fails, the system displays a
communication error. In this case, press the Comm button to query the communication status of
the modules. Press Exit for three seconds to exit the Module Address Setting interface.
Caution: When setting an address for a unit, power on the unit only and power off other units;
otherwise, the address will be shared by multiple units.

 Defrost Between Time and Defrost Running Time must be set for every unit in the network.
 If a parameter needs to be modified in a wide range, press and hold down the + and – buttons so
that the value can vary successively.
 Press Reset to restore the default settings.

 The week setting is valid only when Week timed is set to allow on the User Parameter Setting
