Up Up and Away

Joud enjoyed playing on the outdoor slide but struggled to climb the ladder due to it being slippery. With help from the teacher, Joud practiced climbing the ladder multiple times and gained confidence. After several practices, Joud was able to climb the ladder independently and go down the slide without assistance, gaining a sense of achievement and positive self-esteem through active exploration.

Up, Up and Away

Joud you are very interested in outdoor activities. Recently you got so interested in
the slide. You came to me asking to help you climb the ladder of the slide. You
struggled a bit as it can be quite slippery, and you were not confident enough to
pull your body up. I helped you a couple of times and you got so excited and kept
practicing going up the ladder. After a few practices, you were able to confidently
climb up the ladder and went down the slide all by yourself. Ka pai! Well done,
Joud, I am so proud of you. Through these activities, you were able move
confidently with your body and gain a positive self esteem after you have
successfully climb on the ladder all by yourself. We will continue to encourage your
active exploration by providing a rich learning environment that will challenge you
to learn more confidently.
