209 Charcoal/Aqua 2 balls
or color of your choice
Lion Brand® crochet hook size K-10.5
(6.5 mm)
Lion Brand® large-eyed blunt needle
GAUGE
10 half double crochet + 10 rows = about 4 in. (10 cm).
BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE.
NOTE
Poncho is crocheted as a rectangle then, following a diagram, folded and
seamed.
PONCHO
Chain 47.
Row 1: Half double crochet in 3rd chain from hook (2 skipped chain count as first
half double crochet) and in each chain across – you will have 46 half double
crochet.
Row 2: Chain 2 (counts as first half double crochet), turn, half double crochet in
each stitch across, working last half double crochet in top of turning chain.
Repeat Row 2 until piece measures about 50 in. (127 cm) from beginning.
Fasten off.
FINISHING
Following diagram, matching A to A and B to B, sew one short end to one long
side edge of Poncho.
Neck Edging
From right ride, join yarn with a slip stitch at back of neck of Poncho. Work single
crochet evenly spaced around Poncho neck edge. Join with slip stitch in first
single crochet.
Fasten off.
