RStreng Level 2 Example

This document provides an analysis of corrosion defect levels in a pipeline using calculators from Pipeng.com. It calculates the failure pressure of 34.06 MPa for a critical defect with a depth of 0.0035 m and length of 0.3 m. It then factors in the external pressure from an elevation of 4.5 m below the surface to determine the local allowable pressure of 20.64 MPa. Finally, it calculates the reference allowable pressure of 19.59 MPa at an elevation of 25.4 m.
