participants for my study entitled: Police Capabilities and Practices in Crime
Prevention and Deterrence: An Integrated Proactive Measures in Community
Service Oriented Policing for the PNP as part of the requirements for the
completion of my Doctor of Philosophy in Criminal Justice at the Lyceum of the
Philippines University (LPU).

This study will correlate the perceptions of police officers and barangay officials
regarding police capability and police practice in the implementation of
proactive crime prevention and deterrence measures within Laguna Police
Provincial Office (LPPO) consisting of 6 cities namely, San Pedro, Binan, Sta
Rosa, Cabuyao, Calamba, and San Pablo with the goal of creating a guide in
the formulation of effective crime prevention methods and strategies in the
Laguna Province.
