I. Context and Rationale
The COVID-19 virus which spread in the country beginning January 2020 when its
presence was not yet declared a national issue, rendered the country helpless. By March,
the national government advised all citizens to stay at home in quarantine to thwart the
spread of this virus. All sectors of the government were affected by this calamity especially
the education sector since the lockdown was implemented in the middle of March when the
school had not yet ended. So, it came to pass that the school year ended abruptly and
incompletely. School year 2019 – 2020 has not yet ended, yet the threat to national security
was so real.
Duty calls for a teacher who thought of a way for [school] students to gain access of the
modules. Browsing through the worksheets and modules, the proponent developed an
innovative e-module app designed for [Grade Level / Elementary / Highschool] learners.
With the COVID-19 outbreak paralyzing the education system, this idea of using a
cellphone to learn has been an option. Face-to-face instruction is impossible during this
crisis so installing [Subject] e-Module App in the cellphones of [school] students is timely
[Subject] e-Module App is an electronic module made for android devices like
cellphones and tablets. It is an offline application that makes it easy to use since it does not
require an internet connection. This is because the proponent knew that not all [school]

[Subject] e-Module App was developed using the application “AppsGeyser” is an online
Android app tool platform that provides the essential tools for potential app makers to use to
create Android apps. Anyone can use AppsGeyser’s app making tools whether they are an
[Subject] e-Module App works by displaying the list of modules in the screen. The user
then choose first the module to begin. Upon choosing the module, the user will be directed to
the e-module. The module will be displayed in the screen. It is scrollable and zoomable so
This app also saves the last page the user read which makes it an ease for the user to
[Subject] e-Module App is accessible and can be downloaded using the website
[Subject] e-Module App will have updates regarding its contents and specific changes
In view of the objectives of the proponent, he also decided to seek the help of experts in
the field of this study by asking for an acceptability test of the proposed [Subject] e-Module
App. This is because the proponent believed that this piece of learning material must go
through several processes to make it usable, useful, and valid to serve its purpose.

module app for [school] students which covers [subject]. It employs Type 1 developmental
design. Type I developmental design studies address not only product design and
development, but evaluation as well. At times they may validate a particular design or
development technique or tool (Richey and Klein, 2005). Type 1 studies may have an
analysis phase, design phase, a development phase, and a try-out and evaluation phase.
Another organization of a Type 1 study would include phases directed toward first analysis,
then prototype development and testing, and finally prototype revision and retesting. In this
case, the proposed model [Subject] e-Module App underwent these phases is ready for

of the respondents. The weighted mean will be used to find the extent of the responses in
