The document provides details of a lesson plan for teaching swimming and aquatics. It includes objectives, content, and procedures. The content will cover the law of levers and 10 swimming tips to improve strokes. The procedures describe how the teacher will introduce topics, have discussions with students, and check understanding through questions. The goal is for students to understand the law of levers and how to apply swimming tips to improve their strokes.

Teacher’s Activities Student’s Activities

Preliminaries:

-Greetings
Good morning everyone!!! Good morning ma’am.
How are you today? We are fine ma’am.

-Prayer
Okay class, let us pray and please ms. (Name “In the name of the Father, and of the Son,
of student) lead the prayer. and of the Holy Spirit,
Amen……………….”

-Classroom Management
Before we start our lesson, kindly open your
camera. If you’re not open your camera, you
are absent. (student will open their camera)

A. Motivation
Class, I have a question for you to answer:

Last meeting, were finish to discuss the two

laws of motion which is the law of Inertia and
Acceleration. And the lift of Propulsion. So,
what is your understanding about these topic? My understanding about that topic is to have
Yes ms. (name of student). a force in swimming that can help in overall
propulsion.

Yes, that’s why we need a force in our body

to move quickly and force is need to change

direction in swimming.

B. Presentation
Class our next topic for today is that, “Law of
Levers”.

C. Discussion
Okay, we’re finish discussing the lift
propulsion last meeting. So, today I discuss
the law of levers.

The law of levers was consists of a pivot

point and one or two rigid parts called arms.
The example of these is the seesaw that the
pivot point is in the center, and the arms
extended on each side. The weights of two
children riding the seesaw are the forces
acting on the lever. And these law of levers
states that the product of the force and force
arm is equal to the product of the resistance
and resistance arms.

Law of levers have a four components, and Ma’am, force applied, resistance
what are those? Ms./mr. (name of student) encountered, force arm and resistance arm.

Alright!!! So, these four components have a

force applied that is the weight of the first
child, resistance encountered that is the
weight of the second child, force arm that is
the distance between the first child and the
pivot point, and resistance arm that is the
distance between the second child and the Yes ma’am
pivot point.
Did you understand?

So, this law of levers suggest that to be most

effective, forces of propulsion should be
applied close to the body. This is why arm
strokes are more efficient and provide better
propulsion when the hands and wrists stay
close to the body as opposed to going out to
the sides or down deep in the water. During Yes ma’am
the front crawl, the arm acts as a lever with
the shoulder as the pivot point. Did you
understand?

Let’s proceed to the 10 swimming tips to The key to swimming efficiently is

improve every stroke. So, the first is the maintaining a streamlined position, and that

core?

Yes, that mean is the tight abs, glutes and

lower back. Most people tend to relax and

just float around when in the water, but you
want to work. If you don’t tighten your core,
you’re kind of like a jellyfish, wriggling
everywhere. You’ll never get the appropriate amount of
oxygen so you’ll feel out of breath.
Okay so, the number two is to “exhale into
the water”. What is this? Mr.(name of
student)

In other words, don’t try to both inhale and

exhale when your head is above the water.
Remember to release air under the water so Yes ma’am
when you turn to the side, you’re getting as
much air in as you can.
Did you understand? The fins do a lot of that work for swimmers.

Let’s proceed to number three that is “swim

with fins”. Ms. (name of student) what is
swim with fins?

Yes, during practice session, take your drills

beyond the kick board. Fins are really nice
way to work on your stroke and not have to
worry about propelling your body up. So, we

you understand?

Number four is “don’t stare at the backline”.

What is that mean? Mr. (name of student).

So, when you’re swimming, avoid looking

straight down or up at the wall. Make a first

The number five is that “think of your hand

as a fin”. What is that mean? Ms. (name of
student).

So, when you’re in the water, you want to

swim with the ease of a fish, so think of your Yes ma’am
hand as a fin through every stroke. This
allows you to propel yourself a little bit
further and get a little more traction with each
stroke. You’ll maximize you efficiency and distance

And the number six is “draw a line down the

center of your body”. What is this mean? Mr.
(name of student).
INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL OF ASIA AND THE PACIFIC COLLEGE OF ARTS, SCIENCES AND TEACHER EDUCATION

Yes so, as you pull your arm through the

water during freestyle, make sure your hand
doesn’t cross over the midline of your body. Yes ma’am
You want to focus on a long stroke out front,
draw down the midline of your body, and
then push really hard from your hip to fully
straighten your arm.
Did you understand class?

And the number seven is “rotate in the

water”. These mean that, you are never flat in
the water. You’re always rotating ever so
slightly from one side to the other. That’s
why as you freestyle through the water, you
should position your body at 45-degree angle,

without seeing where you’re going.
Number eight is to “keep your head level in
backstroke”. What does this mean? Ms.
(name of student).

Okay so, in an effort to bring the hips and

legs up, you may tip your head too far back in Yes ma’am
the water, leading to an inefficient stroke.

Number nine is to “use your lower half in

butterfly”. What does that mean? Mr. (name
of student) kindly read.

Thank you mr. (name of student).

Okay so another is you have to push your

hips forward, instead of bending and kicking
down from your knees. So, imagine that you

are your understanding about that you read?

Yes ma’am

Alright!!! So, this will give you a long,

smooth glide and you’ll get a little more time
to relax a bonus if you’re swimming speedy
laps and need some active recovery time.
Did you understand class?

That’s all for today.

D. Application
I will give the question and give your answer
on the chat message. Okay? Yes ma’am

* Give the 10 swimming tips to improve

every stroke?

E. Generalization
Levers, in all their different forms can be
found in everyday life. They serve to
transform the applied force. A lever is often
used to convert small forces – e.g. your own
muscle strength into larger forces.

IV. EVALUATION

A. Enumeration: Read the question and write your answer on the space below.

*What is law of levers? And give an example?

V. ASSIGNMENT
 Read the next topic for the next meeting.
