“RESOLUTION REQUESTING FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE FROM THE


REGIONAL DIRECTOR POL M. DELOS SANTOS OF DPWH, REGION XIII, FOR
THE CONSTRUCTION AND CONCRETING OF 1,000 LINEAR METER FLOOD
CONTROL AT PIYANGA RIVER, BARANGAY CANAWAY, KITCHARAO,
AGUSAN DEL NORTE.”

WHEREAS, the said construction and concreting of flood control is always been one of the
priority projects of the barangay in areas that are more susceptible to overflowing of river and
flooding;

WHEREAS, this project aims not only to protect the land from erosion due to high rise of
water and strong river current, but most importantly protecting the residents living nearby;

WHEREAS, the people living along the areas are always endangered by the threats of rising
water from the rivers and flashfloods during heavy rains and typhoons;

NOWTHEREFORE, RESOLVED, as it is hereby resolved by the Barangay Council


assembled in regular session to respectfully request the Regional Director Pol M. Delos
Santos of DPWH, Region XIII for the construction and concreting of 1,000 linear meter flood
control at Piyanga River, Barangay Canaway, Kitcharao, Agusan del Norte;

FURTHER RESOLVED, to let copy of this resolution be furnished to the Office of the
Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) for their information and appropriate
action.

ADOPTED, this 18th day of January, 2022 upon motion by Kagawad Ian T. Malazaga and
duly seconded by Kagawad Jezreel D. Beltran.
