Q.2. (a) Define Production System and explain in detail the various types of Production Systems.
OR
(b) ABC company has received the following jobs at a Work Centre to be processed. The
processing time (in days), arrival date and due date (in terms of shop calendar days) are
given. Determine the sequence in which these jobs should be processed according to
each of the following priority rules viz., FCFS, SPT, LPT, EDD, TSPT, LS and
COVERT. Assume today is day hundred and the jobs cannot be delay for more than 60
days for TSPT rule. Assume expected cost per day is Rs.10 per day.
