CONCEPT Students have the knowledge of rational numbers and their
NOTE representation on the number line. In this chapter, we extend
their knowledge base to irrational numbers and their
representation on the number line. Also, they are familiarized
with the concept of rationalization. Process of successive
magnification is also introduced.
LEARNING Students:
OUTCOMES  gain the knowledge of various types of numbers viz.
natural numbers, whole numbers, prime numbers,
rational numbers etc. which constitutes the Real Number
system.
