Task – Unit 14 Assignment 3

Each unit has steps you have to take. Complete each section in as much detail as possible – your answers will
help to complete the unit
About your task or Activity what tools did you use ?
We had to take out the components of original PC and started reviewing what parts I needed to
upgrade. After reviewing I got the upgraded parts and installed them, I didn’t use much besides
a simple screwdriver and a lot of screws. After doing all required things, I put it back together
and made sure it worked by going through the wires, and double checking all the components
to make sure they’re secured.

Organising your task…


How did you finalise your task and did it suit its purpose?
First, we made sure that everything was off, and unplugged all the cables from plugs and
switches to make sure that the safety of myself is clear, (Don’t want to get killed). I made sure
that I removed top part / cover of the PC to get inside, and started using a Screwdriver to
unscrew the parts, and started removing each component. Once all screws were removed and
each component was out, I put in the required components that needed an upgrade in the PC,
after that I began running tests and running the Operating system also making sure that the PC
ran / recognized the RAM, which it did and ended out well meaning that the build was a
success.
Reviewing Your Work

Did you have any problems? If so how did you overcome these issues, are there any
steps you could take to prevent similar instances in the future.
Problems weren’t really a thing with the build, but it was too cheap of a build to find any kind
of upgrades properly so you can’t call it an “Upgrade”

What improvements could you make if asked to do something similar in the future?
Bigger budget, allows to upgrade the system for better overall performance and possibilities in the
future, RAM, GPU, CPU, etc.

Did you receive any feedback from anyone?


Yes, the feedback was helpful as the CEO said that it was well built and suitable, performing.
