Introduction

On September 20, 2021, the South Carolina State Law Enforcement Division (SLED) received a
request from Myrtle Beach Police Department (MBPD) Chief Amy Prock to investigate a
missing person. Sheridan Wahl was reported missing on September 19, 2021, in the city of
Myrtle Beach, SC. On September 21, 2021, the Florence County Sheriffs Office (FCSO)
located Sheridan Wahl, deceased, behind the Hannah Salem Friendfield Fire Department
(HSFFD). Florence County Sheriff T. J. Joye requested SLED retain this investigation. SLED
Captain Glenn Wood assigned Special Agent (S/A) Brad Thompson to conduct the investigation.
