1. What do you think someone needs to learn in order to make him a good teacher?
For someone to be a good teacher, he/she needs to learn the pedagogy of teaching. Pedagogy
means the methods of teaching. Even if one has the knowledge if he/she doesn’t know the
methods and how the lessons will be delivered, he will not be a good teacher.
2. Do you think there is a place for humor in the classroom? If so, why or why not?
Yes, classroom should be a place where the students should enjoy learning. They also deserve to
have fun while learning. Learning is fun, especially if the teacher knows how to handle a lesson
to be more engaging and not boring.
3. What might new teachers be able to learn from the illustration to the right?
Teachers should also be open to new ideas, or new concepts. Even if teachers are the one who
mentors students, they should also be teachable. Teachable in a way that they need to admit
that they do not know everything and there are certain things that they need to continuously
learn. After all, once a teacher, always a learner.

1. What levels of Bloom’s taxonomy did the professor’s teaching achieve? Explain.
I believe the professor’s teaching reached the highest level of learning in the taxonomy which is
the creating. Why? Because not just only he explained the representation of each thing, he also
related it a real-life scenario, and he was able to create a unique idea out of that particular
discussion.
2. Look back at Yeat’s quote on p. 78. In your opinion, would Yeats like this professor’s lesson?
Why or Why not?
No, because Yeat claimed that Education is not filling up the pail, wherein the professor said that
the role of teachers is to fill the students mind with everything that they need while they are in
class. In Yeat’s quote, education should light the fire, meaning teachers should encourage the
students to find issues, ideas and problems that they find exciting and not just focusing on what
is the teacher is saying.
3. Look back at Ward’s quote on p. 78. Which kind of teacher is the professor: mediocre, good,
superior, or great? Explain.
For me, the professor is a great teacher. Why? He inspires the students, especially when he
discussed the representation of the coffee, which he told the students are the most important,
the LOVE and CARE. In that explanation, he already inspired the students to give love and care in
everything that they have.
