LIFE AND VALUES INTEGRATION

1. Share a personal experience or observation on 21st Century teaching and learning

being practiced in the classroom or in the school. What life lessons and values have
you realized and learned?

In the classroom/learning environment, I had the opportunity to observe many

experienced and newbie teachers. Based on my observations, there has been a significant
movement in the teaching model — away from teacher speaking and lecturing as the primary
technique for enabling learning, and towards learner-centered approaches, with the focus on
learning rather than teaching.
While I agree that this fundamental change has a lot of promise, I believe that in their
desire to incorporate more than enough student activities into lessons, teachers sometimes
forget that students require teacher input in order to progress with their learning. I've also
realized that there is no ONE teaching style that is superior to another; rather, there appears to
be an infinite number of factors that go into becoming a good teacher.
As to life lessons. I think that teaching is the most treasured part of the role.

2. Share a personal experience in which you were able to develop any of the 21 st Century
Skills. What life lessons and values have you realized and learned?

Learning about other perspectives creating ideas by providing new ways of thinking,
which can help groups solve problems more effectively. The skill and willingness to learn
from people with various perspectives can help you communicate difficult concepts and
resolve disagreements. Studies demonstrate that individuals who have a broad group of
friends are more likely to be cooperative, have greater levels of social happiness, and have
the ability to lead than those who do not.
Having early positive experience with a variety of people can influence how individual
build future perspectives of others. As students will be more flexible and adaptive in our
constantly changing profession as they develop skills like critical thinking and perspective
taking, as well as their capacity to collaborate cross-culturally and take on leadership roles.

operations.

LIFE AND VALUES INTEGRATION

3. Share a personal experience in integrating New Literacies/Multiliteracy in the

curriculum What life lessons and values have you realized and learned?

It is our responsibility as future educators to prepare our students for the future. We are
not equipping our students for their futures if we do not teach them new literacy skills.
Students are unable to develop these skills on their own. Students, like any other talent,
require teacher instruction and the opportunity to practice these skills in a safe and
collaborative setting.
As future teachers, time is one of our scarcest resources, is bringing technology into a
lesson can feel like an enormous waste of time. What if things don’t work out? What if
students require teaching on how to utilize the technology? How am I going to keep control
of each and every student's computer screen? Is it not easier to do this with a pen and paper
activity? These are all valid questions, and I've been asked them before when I suggested
doing something that combined technology with new literacy skills.
As a future teacher, you must regularly integrate new literacies and technology into the
classroom. Education's goal is to prepare students for their future. We are failing our students
if we do not consistently incorporate new reading skills into their everyday instruction.

4. Share a personal experience in demonstrating global and multicultural literacies. What

life lessons and values have you realized and learned?

Culture and language understanding are important to me. We live in multicultural

communities, teach in multicultural classrooms, and our kids interact with people from other
cultures. Understanding is enhanced by awareness of and sensitivity to culturally established
norms. In fact, when students understand that diversity does not equal effectiveness, they get
a greater respect for the richness of diversity that exists around us.

5. Share a personal experience of practicing Social Literacy. What life lessons and
values have you realized and learned?

According to what I've read, "social literacy" refers to "the ability to communicate
successfully and get along with others," so it depends on what you understand by those terms.
Of course, in the current specialization society, where each person may perform the work he
or she wants and needs to be able to interact and get along well enough with others to be able
to do one's profession and receive values from others in free exchange, it is crucial. But I
would advise against attempting to communicate effectively with those who are strongly
opposed to your ideas and will physically harm you for expressing them; or attempting to get
along with just anyone because there are those out there who are not worthy of trust and
honor, and one must be just or practice justice with regard to others that character matters,
and one must carefully select one's friends and associates. On Facebook, and other social
media, I like conversing with others in a common language, but only to a point. When an
opponent is disrespectful, I quit engaging with them because it indicates that they are not
open to argument. It's pointless to try to talk with a physical bully who will pound your face
in if you irritate him, or to be friendly with him because you'd have to constantly watch your
back. Choose who you speak with and who you befriend based on a clear understanding of
fairness, otherwise you'll be growing opponents you don't even realize you're growing or
encouraging to be your enemies.

6. Share a personal experience of integrating Media Literacy. What life lessons and
values have you realized and learned?

Students who are media literate are more likely to examine, assess, comprehend, and
appreciate their multimedia culture. It teaches kids how to be active, involved media users
and consumers. Traditional disciplines like History, English, Health, Civics, and the Creative
Arts gain immediacy and relevance through media education, which brings the world into the
classroom. It acts as a wonderful link between subjects and interdisciplinary studies. Media
education embodies and advances modern pedagogy, which emphasizes student-centered
learning, multiple intelligences acknowledgment, and information analysis and management
rather than merely storing.

7. Share a personal experience in which you were confronted with financial crisis or
scam. What life lessons and values have you realized and learned?

For me, be alert to the fact that scams exist. When dealing with uninvited contacts from
people or businesses, whether it's over the phone, by mail, email, in person or on a social
networking site, always consider the possibility that the approach may be a scam. Remember,
if it looks too good to be true, it probably is.
Know who you're dealing with. If you've only ever met someone online or are unsure
of the legitimacy of a business, take some time to do a bit more research. Does a Google
image search on photos or search the internet for others who may have had dealings with
them? If a message or email comes from a friend and it seems unusual or out of character for
them, contact your friend directly to check that it was really them that sent it.
Keep your personal details secure. Put a lock on your mailbox and shred your bills
and other important documents before throwing them out. Keep your passwords and pin
numbers in a safe place. Be very careful about how much personal information you share on
social media sites. Scammers can use your information and pictures to create a fake identity
or to target you with a scam.

8. Share a personal experience wherein you encountered digital risk and consequences.
What life lessons and values have you realized and learned?

Identify all assets exposed to potential unauthorized access. This should include all
social media channels and resources housing sensitive data. A digital footprint can be
mapped with the assistance of an attack surface monitoring solution
Monitor for Data Leaks, A data leak detection solution can discover any data leaks
linked to your organization to provide both visibility and vulnerability insights into this
commonly overlooked attacked vector.
Cybercriminals are always on the hunt for data leaks to arm their data breach
campaigns. By remediating data leaks before they're discovered by cybercriminals,
cybersecurity, and therefore all other categories of digital risk, will be protected

9. Share a personal experience in which you initiated or participated in any activity that
contributed to environmental sustainability. What life lessons and values have you
realized and learned?

In recycling activity, I join, we utilize so much energy, food, and man-made resources
every day, environmental sustainability is critical. Increased agricultural and manufacturing
have resulted from rapid population growth, resulting in increased greenhouse gas emissions,
unsustainable energy consumption, and deforestation.
In other words, we will require more energy and materials than ever before. Despite
this, our planet can only give a finite number of resources before they run out. As a result,
corporations must step in and contribute. They have more clout than any other group of
people, and they can help assure a viable future by investing in sustainable and responsible
practices including waste reduction, commercial clean energy, and fair compensation.

10. Share a personal experience in which you have created an artwork or presented
performance that was critique by others. What life lessons and values have you
realized and learned?

An art critique paper involves a comprehensive analysis and assessment of an

artwork. Though this looks a bit complicated, the task doesn’t require a lot of time if you
have sufficient critique writing skills. It’s an interesting assignment for students of art
colleges as well as high schoolers. All you need is to study some art critique examples
and learn some effective techniques. It will help make your essay creative and attention-
grabbing.
