 Write the correct form of the verb on the lines. Use the Simple Past
Tense
John Lennon was born in 1940 in Liverpool, England, where he grew
up. As a teenager, he met Paul McCartney, and they began to write
songs together. After several years, they formed a new group called
the Beatles, with George Harrison and Pete Best. However, Best not
stayed in the group. Bingo Star joined the group in place of Best. In
1964 the group performed its first hit son "Love Me Do".

 Write the correct form of the verb on the lines. Use the Simple Past
Tense
Between the years 1962 and 1968 the Beatles was the most famous
group in the world. In 1969, Lennon decided to perform alone. He
writed the song “Give Peace a Chance” and made several albums
alone. He also acted in films. From that time on, he had many
problems. For example, he leaved his wife, Yoko Ono, for a time.
Finally, in 1983, Mark David Chapman killed Lennon. Lennon’s life
ended but his music lives on today.
