Situation no. 1. You won as President in the Supreme Student Government Election 2020.

I'm Rochelle C. Gervacio, I stand before you today as your SSG president.In this position,I
assure you I will work hard on your behalf,listen to your ideas and do everything in my
power to make this school the best that it can be.

It probably won't surprise you that I have decided to run for student council for the role
of president. As student council president , I will strive to continue to make
improvements in the school for every student here at Cavinti Integrated National High
School.

The student council works side-by-side with the student body and the administration to
ensure student events throughout the year are successful. As president, I will ensure that
you have a memorable year.

This year the council has different positions and president is one of them,I think that I
would be good "starter" to set a standard for future council members.Last year members
of the student council did a great job by adjusting the academic schedule to our
needs,organizing the clubs of national minority students. I think that the council needs
some refreshment,new representatives are so come in and renew the experience of the
old ones by their enthusiasm.In my opinion,this new approach can be demonstrated by
me.

Are you tired of doing the same old things year after year? Are you ready to do
something different?One thing I noticed about this school when I came last 2016 is that
most of the students didn't really get to make any of the decisions here at the school.Did
anyone ever ask you what you wanted to do for a fundraiser? Did anyone ever ask you
what you wanted to buy with the money we raised? Who makes these decisions?Those
types of decisions are left up to student council. The person you choose to represent you
as president will speak for the entire senior class. Do you want to choose someone who
will make those decisions for you without knowing what you want?You have a choice
but you choose me to be your student council president, I promise to always get your
opinions before making any decisions. You should have a say in the actions that will
affect you.

Every single one of you can come to me with your ideas, and I promise to listen and
speak for you.I may not be the most well-known person running for student council
president, but I promise to listen to each and every one of you.
You've made the right choice,choosing someone who wants to be your
spokesperson,choosing someone who cares about what you want,choosing me.Being an
student council will teach me how to be an effective leader.Student council is under belly
of work,the leadership skills that cannot be taught but must be learned through
experience.Being a president of student council will teach me many things and
transform me into a stronger leader.One of the most important things it will teach me is
how to be ambitious in what I believe in.It makes me to take action whatever I set my
mind to.

I stand before you today not only as your SSG president but also as your friend.As like a
good friend, I will be honest with you about the challenges our school faces. I will do my
best to communicate with you and keep you informed.

As your friend, I will also be asking you for help, no one person has all of the answers or
can do all of the work.A chain is only as strong as its weakest link.Together we must be
strong and cooperate to achieve our goals.

I will continue to fight for justice,transparency, and equality for our student body.I will
create a channel of student representation on our School Board,which supervises our
school's administration but does not offer an opportunity for student voices to be heard.I
will reform the course registration system so that selections can be made
electronically,increasing efficiency and minimizing frustrating errors.I will continue the
fight for healthier,more nutritious school lunch offerings in our cafeteria,partnering with
local farmers to provide fresh produce for salads and snacks.

I believe in you,I believe in this school.I believe in our ability to work together for
something great."Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful,committed citizens can
change the world. Indeed,it is the only thing that ever has".I believe I have the qualities
to be an effective leader.I am also asking for your help.Let us begin the journey today of
making this school the very best it can be.

My record exemplifies passionate,self-driven advocacy on behalf of all of us. I care about


your voice. I care about making sure campus opportunities are as equally distributed as
possible for each and every one of you.Come share your ideas, and I will make them
happen.

I am a fair and confident leader; I am a good decision maker and always make sure I
view everyone's opinions and ideas. I feel that I am very approachable and everyone is
welcome to come up and talk to me. I try to be the best role model I can be by always
following the schools values.
