1. Constructed-Response Question.

Part A.

In planning an activity plan, it is important that it must be developmentally

appropriate programs for young children. And, as an educator, it is important to consider

many factors such as children's individuality, group of children, the past, present, and future

needs and expectations. It is also important that the children will be interested in the activity

we will teach. The activity plan I will prepare is “Mosaic Art Making”. The primary purpose

of this plan is to develop the teamwork and social skills of the children. It will also teach

them to recycle things and be concerned with their environment at a young age. I choose this

activity because of the easy access to materials like old magazines, papers, eggshells, and

other materials that can be used in mosaic making.

Part B.

The three ways I will use to edit the plan and to improve it based on the principle of

good planning will be exploratory to goal-directed, iconic representation, and enactive to

symbolic representation. Exploratory to goal-directed because it will help the children to

explore and think what shapes they will make to create their mosaic art and by making them

decide as a group what they will draw for their activity. Iconic representation since they will

use recyclable material which I will leave them to decide what materials they will use for

their mosaic art based on the idea that they have decided as a group. Lastly, enactive

representation since they will decide and think what they will draw based on their experience

as a group.

2. Writing Activity Plan

Domain: Mathematics Activity Name: Mixed Up Numbers

Goals: Children will read and recognize number words and recognize the sequence of

numbers.

Objectives: Given an opportunity for the children to participate the activity, they will learn:

1. To read and recognize the number words.

2. To recognize the number even in descending order..

Standards:

CCSS.MATH.CONTENT.K.CC.A.2

Count forward beginning from a given number within the known sequence (instead of having

to begin at 1).

CCSS.MATH.CONTENT.K.CC.A.3

Write numbers from 0 to 20. Represent a number of objects with a written numeral 0-20

(with 0 representing a count of no objects).

Content:

1. Sequence of numbers and its equivalents to words.

2. Correcting the right sequences of the numbers in descending order.

3. Recognizing the right sequences of the numbers.

Materials: Vocabulary cards of number words one to twenty, blackboards and double sided tape

Procedures:

1. Place the word cards at random order in the blackboard.

2. Ask the students to say each word with you.

3. Ask the children to help you place to arrange the number in descending order.

4. Tell the children to close their eyes, lower their heads on the desk and then change the order of the

cards.

5. Pretend that you were playing hide and seek as their head lower on their desk as you seek for the

children who will arrange the card into right sequence.

Simplification: Put the number words in a box and called the children to pick one and tell them to

stand and arrange themselves in descending order.

Extensions: Make mistakes as you arranged the number words and let them correct you.

Evaluation: Using the performance checklist, identify which of the objectives outlined in activity

have individually met. Based on observation on children participation, does the objectives met? Do

you need to be more creative for the children get interested?

3. What is the primary purpose of your plan and how does each element of your

activity plan relate to the purpose?

The primary purpose of my plan is to teach the children to recognize, read, and learn

to put in right sequences the number words. Every element of this plan was related to the

purpose since I ask them to read the number words with me they will be able to recognize the

letter of each words. As I pick one children to arrange the number words to right sequences

they will be able to know the corresponding words of the number. This activity will help

them to develop their memorization and their ability to put things in right sequences.
