Form - Work: Column Formwork

Formwork is used to support wet concrete until it cures. Conventional column formwork has four sides held together with yokes or clamps to resist pressure from poured concrete. Forms for square, rectangular, L-shaped and octagonal columns are typically made of plywood sheathing backed by wood battens, while round columns often use fiber tubes or steel forms. Beam formwork includes prefabricated sheeting panels manufactured based on beam size. Formwork arrangement depends on the column or beam shape and dimensions.
