Login as oracle user:

Manually Patch Oracle Database Restart and Oracle Database:

Login as root user to unlock binary before patching manually


[root@pra12c ~]# /u01/app/grid12c/product/12.2.0/grid12chome1/crs/install/roothas.sh -prepatch
Using configuration parameter file:
/u01/app/grid12c/product/12.2.0/grid12chome1/crs/install/crsconfig_params
2022/02/20 14:44:38 CLSRSC-347: Successfully unlock
/u01/app/grid12c/product/12.2.0/grid12chome1

[root@pra12c ~]#

Login as grid user to apply patch on oracle database restart:-

/u01/app/grid12c/product/12.2.0/grid12chome1/OPatch/opatch apply -oh


/u01/app/grid12c/product/12.2.0/grid12chome1 -local /softwares/Patches/21255373/21255373
Login as oracle user to apply patch on oracle database :-

Final Step:-
Login as root user to lock binary after successfully apply patching
/u01/app/grid12c/product/12.2.0/grid12chome1/rdbms/install/rootadd_rdbms.sh
/u01/app/grid12c/product/12.2.0/grid12chome1/crs/install/roothas.sh –postpatch
