1. There are 12 packets of chips in a big pack. I buy n big packs of crisps. How many packets of chips have I

bought?

2. There are t pens in a pack. I buy 4 packs. How many pens did I buy?

3. I have 6 sketch pens. A friend gives me n more. How many do I have now?

4. Amy is 6 years older than Jonny. Six years ago she was twice as old as he. How old is each now?

5. Michael has some coins in his pocket consisting of dimes, nickels, and pennies. He has two more nickels than

dimes, and three times as many pennies as nickels. How many of each kind of coins does he have if the total

value is 52 cents?

6. Think of a number. Double the number. Subtract 6 from the result and divide the answer by 2. The quotient will

be 20. What is the number?

7. A bag of oranges contains 6 oranges. I buy w bags of oranges. How many oranges have I bought?

10 quarts and is full, how much must be drained off and replaced with pure antifreeze in order to bring it up to

many general admissions sold as there were kids' tickets, and total receipts were $7750, how many of each

type of ticket were sold?

find the cost of each.

43. Divide 36 into two parts in such a way that 1/5 of one part is equal to 1/7 of the other.

44. The length of the rectangle exceeds its breadth by 3 cm. If the length and breadth are each increased by 2 cm,

then the area of new rectangle will be 70 sq. cm more than that of the given rectangle. Find the length and

breadth of the given rectangle.
