DREAMY

This pose is quite feminine and


is emphasized with the soft
curves of the body. She has a
dream-like expression where
she is looking up and closing
her eyes portraying sleepiness. I
would use this pose to create
the theme of ethereal or some- sketch

thing majestic.

FEMININE

This pose gives off a feminine vibe, as it is quite


soft but also assertive. Notice the angles of the
shoulder line and the crossing of the legs. This
gives for an interesting positioning of the limbs,
which you can exaggerate even more in your
drawing. It also seems more natural as her
head is slightly tilted.

MASCULINE SITTING

I see this pose as quite


masculine because of the
sharp straight angles of the
arms and legs. She is also
leaning forward and look- sketch

ing very confident. It is


quite challenging to draw
proportions due to fore-
shortening but give it a try!

ATHLETIC

An interesting pose that


mimics stretching but the
model is in heels. It’s a dif-
ferent fashion pose but also sketch

quite fun to use as a base.


You can create some move-
ment with this pose due to
the positioning of the legs.

EXAGGERATED

Here is an example of an
exaggerated pose. This
pose could be used to
emphasize an interesting
sleeve with the hanging
arm. Take notice of the
upper torso leaning back
- I’ve exaggerated that in sketch
my sketch to give more
emphasis to the move-
ment.

ENERGETIC

Here is an example of
an energetic pose and
is somewhat cool. It’s
quite challenging
because of the
foreshortening such
as the protruding
hand and the leg in sketch

the back but has atti-


tude.

CONFIDENT

This is a typical fashion pose with


the hand on the hips creating the
angles of the arms. I think the po-
sition of the legs make this more
interesting as you get this triangle
composition so you can play sketch

around with wide skirts or exag-


gerated pants or trousers.
