Peace Rally Script
Peace Rally Script
Charisse: Girl Scouting in the Philippines began as early as 1918 with GSUSA troops organized by
American Missionaries, but it was not until 1939 that the Girl Scout Movement was formally launched
following GSP Founder Josefa Llanes Escoda’s arrival from an intensive Girl Scout Training in the USA.
Gida: In 1940, the Girl Scouts of the Philippines was chartered as a national organization. And the first
national Girl Scouts’ rally and first leaders’ training conference were held in 1941. The GSP’s mission is to
help girls and young women realize the ideals of womanhood and prepare themselves for their
responsibilities in the home, to the nation and to the world community.
Charisse: The Girl Scouts is where we became acquainted with the idea that women can do anything. I
would not therefore keep you waiting. Indeed, today is going to be not just an exciting day, but also a
memorable day to everyone esp. to our girl scouts. So welcome to this year’s peace rally with the
theme:"Leading is Serving: Girl Scouts in Nation Building”.
Gida: To formally start the program may I ask everyone to please rise as we invoke the Father Almighty
through a doxology.
Charisse: At this time, let us all witness the entrance of the Colors of Sta. Maria East Integrated School.
Please remain standing for the singing of the National Anthem.
Gida: You may now take your seats. At this juncture, we would like to call on Cadet GS Rosemarie
Tabayoyong for the “Panunumpa sa Watawat.”
Charisse: Let us now move on to the Rededication to the GS Promise and Law. We would like to call on GS
GWEN ABBEY M. GAJETE to lead the Twinkler Promise.
Gida: And to lead the Star Scout Promise, we would like to call on scout Ma. Cassandra R. Esperanza.
Charisse: I’d like to call on junior gs Shaina Denise L. Lozares for the GS Promise and Law.
Gida: There is nothing more heartwarming and overwhelming than an affectionate words of welcome
and this will be given to us by no other than our Public Schools District Superviser, Dr. Eden E.
Evangelista.
Charisse: Thank you mam for that warm welcome. And now we are pleased to have mam PHOEBE F.

applause please.
