Note for the teacher:

Five Words A Week

1. Give to learners the set of words in advance, so they can study them very well.

2. Set time weekly for the pupils to orally recognize 5 words a week with speed and accuracy through virtual
recognition.
3. Ask pupils to look for the meaning of each word and let them write the meaning in their performance
notebook which will be submitted to the teacher for checking. (This will be for Grades 1-3.)

4. For Grades 4-6, aside from the virtual oral recognition of the 5 words a week require them to look for the
meaning of each word, then let them use each word in a meaningful sentence. This will be written in their
performance notebook which will be submitted to the teacher for checking.

5. To determine the word reading score of the learner, follow the guide below.
