Output: Project Charter

Doctors Management System is a system that helps a hospital to manage all the
information and records of their doctors easily and efficiently in different locations. This
system will also let its users, especially the patients, access the system everywhere and
whenever they wanted since it is a web-based system. DMS has two (2) main modules,
and each has a different purpose in the system.

Online Appointment module is the module that is responsible for all the
appointment requests that will be coming from different outpatients who seeks medical
attention, treatment and prescriptions. This module will let patients experience a more
efficient way in booking appointment by simply requesting a specific available doctor
who will aid their medical needs. A direct SMS notification will be sent to patients whose
appointment requests has been approved or declined.

Doctor’s Services Reports module is the module that is responsible for the
management of all the reports regarding the current treatments a specific doctor has
been performing, this module indicates who the patient is, what treatment has been
performed, who is the doctor responsible for that treatment, schedule, and the patient
status, whether confined or already discharged.

Through these modules, DMS is expected to function accordingly and more

effectively not only to the target hospital patients but also for its other main users such
as the doctors and system administrator.

The goal of DMS is to provide every patient a more

MISSION:
efficient booking process of appointment with their
desired doctors. As well as managing all the
information and services reports of every doctor.

a. To finish the given project by the given timetable.

VISION:
b. To develop a functional system.

c. To fulfill our desire to help them achieve highest

possible quality of hospital service using our
developed system

d. To use an efficient tool for patients, doctors and

hospital system administrators.

1. Easier Work — users could easily book their

OBJECTIVE: medical appointments using the DMS.

2. Efficiency of Appointment Process — users could
save more time and effort in appointment booking
process.
3. Security of Doctors Information Storage — no
need to worry about the sudden loss of a medical
file/document about a specific doctor and the
services they performed.

to be ended by the second week of September.

Doctors Management System or DMS will provide

SCOPE:
web and digital services for the hospital to improve
appointment booking process of its patients who seek
medical treatment and prescriptions. Aside online
appointment, the system focuses on the management
of all the services reports of every doctor. These 2
modules are the main features that this system will
cover.

Here are the key people in the organization behind

the project:

System Adviser/Project Owners: Professor Rosicar

Escober & Professor Kezaiah Monzon-Cruz

ORGANIZATION: Scrum Master: Saveena Loise Lacorte

Lead Programmer: Erika Velasco

QA Tester: Kristine Tiu

Document Analysts: Jannelle Octaviano & Clarence
Abarratigue

In order to complete this project, the team gathered

RESOURCES: information and manage resources to create this
document as part of a project charter. The resources
contain some materials and specific skill sets in terms
of medical, researching, computer hardware and
software studies.

Professor Rosicar Escober and Professor Kezaiah

Monzon-Cruz as advisers and project owners, they
provide everything the team needs practically. In
addition, they are also very hands-on to check the
overall quality of the system after the team’s QA
checks the system functionality. As our advisers, they
advise the team of what to do and not to do as well as
the things that should be done to improve the quality
of the system. Aside from giving the team all the
practical needs such as modules, examples and site
online resources, Prof. Escober and Prof. Cruz gives
motivation and courage to the team to finish the
system with the best of their ability.

The Doctors Management System (DMS) Team

consisting of Ms. Saveena Loise Lacorte who
manages the team as the scrum master, whose role
is to explain the business process of the system and
ensuring the quality of the system before presenting
to the project owner, and the team’s main developer,
Ms. Erika Velasco whose assignment was to develop
the web of the system and overall system functionality
working hand-in-hand with the Documentation Team
namely, Ms. Jannelle Octaviano as the Document
Analyst, Ms. Clarence Abarratigue and Ms. Kristine
Tiu who serves as the QA Tester of the team.
Together, they were able to produce a quality system
in a given period of time.

Equipment used includes WiFi, laptops/desktops,

phones, cellphone loads, and software technology like
Visual Studio Code, Notepad, Python and FastAPI,
and MYSQL. Facebook/Messenger, Gmail, GDrive
and GMeet as a medium of communication are other
main resources we used to be able to complete this
project. It might be a simple thing, but we also
recognize Google and other browser for searching,
and Microsoft Word for documenting.

Of course, for this project to be presented to the

project owners, Zoom Virtual Meeting Platform have
been used and maximized at the end of every sprint
review.

Agile Methodology
Agile Development Methodology is used in the DMS
Doctors Management System. The Scrum Master will
APPROACHES
be managing the development and produce output
& METHODOLOGY:
depending on the project owners. The Team was
given four (4) weeks to accomplish task given by the
scrum master.

With this method, Project Owner/s can grasp progress

with the product. The Scrum Master together with the
main developer in the team presented the product
once every 2 weeks and it serves as the Sprint
Review of every sprint. This gives room for the team
to gather more suggestions about the system
interface and overall features of DMS using the
feedback given by the Project Owner/s.

The team are composed of Developers for execution

of the process in the system, QA Tester,
Documentation Team to provide written
documentation of system, and Scrum Master to
organize the team to be able to produce a system
output that is according to the desired product of the
Project Owner/s.

1. Gather data (Online Interview with hospital staffs,

lt lot of research)
2. Meeting with team.
3. To do the sprints within 2 weeks.
SUCCESS CRITERIA:
As long as the system works properly before the
semester ends, the team can conclude that the
project is definitely successful.

The team is working to meet project owner/s’

PRODUCT ROAD MAP: expectations by finishing their requirements while

maintaining the system's quality.

Process:

ASSUMPTIONS & The system's process must be in sync with the

CONSTRAINTS: system user stories and the team's approach.

Product:
The product must be easy to use and functional. It is
critical to ensure that the development is of high
quality. The project's outcome must suit the needs of
the target users.
