Defining and Categorizing
the Words
1. Work together with a group of your
classmates to sort the following
words into categories based on the
words' meaning(s) and
connotations. Consult print and
digital resources, such as a
dictionary, a thesaurus, and an
encyclopedia, as you create
categories. Then list the categories,
including each word and its
de=nition(s), in your Reader/Writer
Notebook.
