administered?

2. A physician’s order reads “Administer 0.02g Furosemide (Lasix) IM.” Stock is 20 mg/1ml
ampule. How many ml will you administer?

ANSWER:
Conversion factor: 1 gm = 1,000 mg
0.02g x 1,000 mg/g = 20 mg

3. The patient is admitted and the surgeon ordered to give Omeprazole 30mg now then OD prior to
surgical intervention. The medicine labeled 40mg in 10cc/ml. How many ml will be given to the
