Name of the knowledge area: Integration Management

In integration, the processes and activities of project management are identified,


defined, combined, unified and coordinated.

It includes the processes and activities necessary to identify, define, combine,


unify, and coordinate the various project management processes within
project management process groups. Project integration management
involves making decisions regarding resource allocation, balancing
objectives, and managing interdependencies between knowledge areas.

Knowing both aspects is essential to begin to form the basis of the


structure of a project.
