Opportunity
Problem
People in La Carlota City are known to be coffee lovers. With the rise of cafes in the city, the
love for coffee among the residents have also ostensibly increased. Although there are already
many existing coffee shops in La Carlota, people need one that offers a unique product and
experience.

Solution
The Sidewalk Café is determined to become a daily necessity for local coffee addicts. We will
offer the world’s famous coffee, Trung Nguyen from Vietnam. The coffee will be served in a
phin which is very unique and gives the authentic experience of Vietnamese culture. They also
have the option of hot or iced coffee. Local coffee will also be served for a more affordable
price. Aside from that, the Sidewalk Café, as the name implies, will be situated in a busy
sidewalk street in the city. It includes a kiosk and just 3-4 small tables surrounded by 3-4 small
chairs. It is a delightful sidewalk café that people of all ages would love to visit and just chill.
Market
The Sidewalk Café will focus its marketing activities on reaching the students, young adults and
professionals of all ages in the city. It is our observation as residents and professionals working
in the city, that these are the customer groups that are most likely to buy our product. We will
open from 6 in the morning until 10am. Then 3 in the afternoon until 7 in the evening.
Competition
The Sidewalk Café’s direct competitors will be other coffee shops located near the city plaza.
These include Café Norma, Cafe Alice, and other service establishments that offer coffee.
