MFZP Pump Hydac

This document summarizes feed pumps of the direct drive series FZP and MFZP. Key points: 1. The FZP pump is a vane pump with constant flow rate and internal pressure relief valve. It is available with or without a flanged motor. 2. The pump has a compact design, is suitable for low pressure applications like filtration and lubrication circuits, and comes in three sizes. 3. Technical specifications include an operating pressure of 6 bar, temperature range of -20°C to 80°C, and noise levels from 58-78 dB(A) depending on size and pressure.

FEED PUMP SERIES FZP 2. DESCRIPTION
AND MFZP
2.1. DIAGRAMMATIC ILLUSTRATION
1. GENERAL control plate pump casing
The feed pump, type FZP, is a
direct drive vane pump with
motor flange
constant flow rate. It is available
with flanged motor (MFZP) and internal ring
comes with internal pressure
relief valve. The charging cylindrical pin
pressure of this valve starts at
approx. 20 % below nominal rotor
pressure setting, which causes a
reduction of the flow rate in this
circlip
pressure range.
Please follow Operating and
Maintenance instructions. O–ring
1.1. SPECIAL FEATURES
– vane type pump for low pressure
range bush
– direct drive, i.e. no bell housing or
coupling required shaft seal
– compact design

1.2. APPLICATIONS
– filter circuits
– cooling circuits O–ring
– lubrication applications O–ring

2.2. NOTES ON PIPING

Pressure differentials (flow rate losses)
.
–Simplified for hydraulic oils:
Dp [bar] = 5.84 · l [m] · Q[l/min] · g [mm2/s]
d4 [mm]
– Effect of the internal diameter on the flow rate losses using the following
example values:
l = 1m; Q = 150 l/min; g = 200 mm2/s

Internal diameter (mm)

di1(38) di1(32) di1(25)
Dp (bar/m) 0.084 0.167 0.45

– Only applicable for straight pipes

– Additional threaded connections and pipe bends increase the flow rate losses

Note: – as few threaded connections as possible

– few pipe bends; if required use large radius
– difference in height between pump and oil level
as small as possible
– hoses must be suitable for a vacuum of min. 5000 mmW
(e.g. hoses to be steel reinforced)
– do not reduce piping cross–section predetermined by the
threaded connection.
