Tense Active Passive

Present Simple I do my room cleaning

Present Continuous I am doing my room

Present Perfect I have done my room

Past Simple I did my room cleaning

Past Continuous I was doing my room

Future Simple I will do my room cleaning

According to the tense use the suitable auxiliary

Use the past participle form of main verb


Passive forms are made up of the verb be in the past participle

Be Past Participle
English is spoken all over the world

The windows have been cleaned

Lunch was being served

The work will be finished soon

They might have been invited to the party


In active voice → the focus is what subject does

In passive voice → the focus is on the action

Transitive Verb

A transitive verb exerts its action on a direct object to express a complete thought.

• Maya sent candy from Switzerland


• My mother took me to the zoo last week
