2.Precise objective :
3. Abstract :
The food industry is being revolutionized by robotics and automation. Our project aims to replace the
tedious human labor in agriculture by deploying a rover for automating slow, repetitive and dull tasks for
farmers. Sensors and digital imaging capabilities give farmers a richer picture of their fields. Additionally,
the rover can survey the crops for the farmer periodically to their liking. The benefits of using this rover
include increased crop production and monitored crop growth, high placement accuracy, autonomous
outdoor and indoor function, and reduced production costs.
The Intelli-Agri-Rover is a rover that can move around in the farm and measure the needful factors for the
growth of the crops. This is done by using inbuilt sensors like water level sensor, humidity sensor and pH
sensor. It also has an embedded web camera, a pump to spray the fertilizers, and an ultrasound speaker to
keep away the pests. These units can be controlled by the user manually or remotely, using IoT.
The crop details like pesticide usage, details of cultivation, price and availability are sent to a cloud platform
allowing the consumers to know about the same. This project will take agriculture to new level bringing
interests on the youth for taking up agricultural jobs and in-turn reduces the food scarcity. This will also
boost the quality of the product reducing the problems that are caused by improper usage of pesticides.
4.Methodology including the work plan: the methodology of this project is as follows.
Step 1: Found out the problems faced by the farmers in farming regarding labor and crop production.
Step 2: Brought out the ideas to solve the problems identified.
Step 3: Grouped the ideas together into one single project idea.
Step 4: Collected all the relevant documents regarding the implementation of the project idea.
Step 5: Analyzed the changes that will be brought by the project in the society.
Step 6: Made a broad technical detailing of the project.
Step 7: Took the list of equipments, sensors and other required elements for the project.
Step 8: After this, we will design the circuit board using PCB designing software.
Step 9: Debug the circuit using software and will verify its functionality.
Step 10: The verified output data will be implemented into the hardware.
Step 11: All the hardware will be placed into a single rover that will be ready for practical test.
Step 12: After the test, the project will be isolated and packaged to completely work remotely.
Encouraging the youth to pursue farming along with other jobs, thereby increasing their income
and minimizing food scarcity, which in turn boosts the economy of the country.
It delivers products directly to the consumers at reasonable prices, eliminating middle men
interface.
It controls the over use of pesticides by giving the consumers info regarding the usage of it.
8. Particulars of the facilities that will be provided by the institution where this project will be
implemented:
Soldering station.
PCB designing.
PCB driller.
Wi-Fi connectivity.
9. Whether the scheme was submitted to any other organization for financial support, if so, the
names of the institutions and their decisions may be indicated: NO
