Advantages and Disadvantages of Working Abroad

Nowadays working abroad has become more popular form of earning money. People move from one
country to another in search of the job or to settle. Although there would be few difficulties initially
when you are working in a foreign country, the benefits which you get will help you cover up all of
them.

The most common reason why people are willing to move abroad is money, job opportunity and
follow up with your love ones. There are also different small impact that could take part is this
decision making process. One of this uncommon things is to make lifelong friends. There’s something
about living somewhere new that helps you find your true friends and you need to be open for this
possibility. When you move abroad, no one knows you. That gives you a chance for fresh start. It’s
more of an opportunity to be your true self. For me one of the pros of living abroad is also learning
how to adapt. Abroad, everything is new with every new scenario you’ll quickly become more and
more adaptable. The best advantage of living abroad is the travel opportunities. Also putting yourself
in a new environment can help you really discover yourself.

Unfortunately in life everything has balance and there are also some disadvantages of this life
changing decision. First and more important one is language barrier. If you move to a country where
you don’t speak the language living there could be very difficult. Not every place is the same and
moving abroad can lead to serious culture shock. One of the biggest cons of living abroad is dealing
with homesickness, loss of your family and friends. It can be very lonely sometimes and there is
nothing you can do to avoid this feeling.

In summary moving to a new country is no doubt a great opportunity and for me personally
advantages still outweighed the disadvantages.
