3. Acknowledgement – put your group member photos, name & uitm id

6. Data Center Site/Location – data center location, size, site risk, why the site was choosen.
- Site selection photo/satelite photo/etc, name of place,
justificaiton of selection of DC site.
7. Infrastructure tiers – use one room or several? Indicate the rational or reason (Justification of
each items in your layout) to support your decisions. Lists, describes and provide the rational
or reasons/justifications of each of the associate data center support rooms in your data
center.
8. Data center design – layout, floor map, descriptions, lagends, etc
9. Data Center Infrastucture implementation phrase/Installation
- Overhead or under-floor installation
- plenum or num plenum spaces
- ceiling (height, etc)
- raised floor (Floor height, ramps, types of floor tiles,
- building, etc
10. Power consumption – using power reduncancy or not, the sources of power supply, the use
of standby power/generators (indicate the number of hardware use), etc
11. Types of servers – types of servers, the numbers of servers, types of server racks used (sampe
of server rack photos), server rack positions, etc.
12. Physical and environmental security – provide the physical and environmental security that
will be used in the data center (cctv, access control devices, alarm systems, fire suppression
systems, etc) , provide the location and number of devices used in the data center.
13. List of vendors that support your data center
14. Labelling and signage
15. List all possible positions that required to support the data center with their brief job
descriptions. – alternatively you may also estimation of number of people required for each
positions.
16. If you have other technologies or systems that you use in the data center for any purposes,
please indicate the systems/tecnologies and provide the functionality or reasons or purpose
of using it.

Notes:

1. This is just a guideline that required for your project, but you may put in additional topics that
you want. Use your own creativity in producing good & comprehensive report. You may also
include pictures/diagrams/tables/etc in between of your contents.
2. Layout can use any softwares or tools or hand design/scatch (must be tidy) is also accepted.
3. Font : times new romans 12 or arial 11, justify and 1.5 spacing
4. Submission Report via softcopy AND presentation materials(softcopy).
5. Please rename your file as NameofDataCenter_IMS605_Group-DateofSubmission
(i.e. FantasticDataCenter_IMS605_IM2455ST1_02February2020.pdf or/and .docx). Upload
using the link/repository/platform that given by your lecturer.

7. During Presentation: Additional/bonus marks for those having visual aids/3d software for
layout/other supporting materials.
