Executive Summary

I. Introduction and background of the Issue/Study

CSI Bayambang is a community mall in town of Bayambang, a first class

municipality in the southern part of central Pangasinan, Philippines. The mall is

managed by City Supermarket, Inc. under the CSI Group of Companies that is based in

Dagupan City, Pangasinan, Philippines. It is operated by Vice Mayor Belen Fernandez

of Dagupan(Wikipedia). This Study Covers Analysis of the oranizations situation and

identifying all aspects that can cause a big impact in the business function. Compelling

Strategies that can minimize or solve the particular issues and problems that’s been

define in analysis the business situation. More importantly is to Classified what are

Strength, Weaknesses, opportunities, and Threats of the Business.  It helps to build on

what the business do  well, to address what its lacking, to minimize risks, and to take

the greatest possible advantage of chances for the success. It is important that all

people within a company have clear goals and following direction, or mission of the

organisation.  provides a vision of the future, confirms all the purposes and values of an

organization, setting objectives, clarifies threats and opportunities, determines methods

to leverage strengths, and mitigate weaknesses. As such, it sets a framework and clear

boundaries within which decisions can be made. In addition is to prevent individuals

from losing sight of their company's aims


II.Statement of the Problem

Strength, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats

Strengths that we identified are fresh meat and new product this will be the

advantage of the business, customers not only seek for good pricing of the product but

on how fresh and new of the product their going to purchase to. Customers are always

looking of what new the goods are they would not buy if it’s old. the customer always

come back when a product are good When customers find a product they trust and

satisfied them, they return, make repeat purchases, and recommend the product to

others. Product were placed based on their category,Customers will not have a hard

time looking for what they would buy and it will pleasant for the customer that the

products are well arranged. Many Variaties of products the customer’s have more

products to choose this will also help the customer to be convenient because all of the

essential goods are all In the one store. Good management this will lead to increased

productivity and to work more efficiently, the employees will able to focus on the

customer.

Weakness sometimes one product mixed with another products this is comkom

problem in mall business. customers will not easly find were the exact items place so

they sometimes got trouble about it especially for the employees who’s the one

responsible of it.
Opportunities

New product will get attention for the business that can lead to a larger customer

and more sales for the new product. Increase in revenue, Business Reputation and new

business relationships

Growth Sales shows the increase in sales over a specific period of time - this is

important because, to know that the demand for a company's products or services will

be increasing in the future.

Threats

Increase in labor cost will cause decrease of productivity this will occur due to the

increase of work time in the employees.

External business risks such as Natural factors like floods,earthquake etc. which can

damage the business even so any loss due to nature calamities is unavoidable and

uncontrollable.

Competition when business have strong competitors in the market the consumer will

purchase in the cheaper price of a product which is causing a great hazard for the

business
Change in government policies are unavoidable in business. If a sudden change comes

in policies of government which will lead a loss in business.

Strategies

Natural risk the business should be ready for whatever happen that an avoidable

they should make a plan of something that will minimize the effects and how to deal with

the risk that the business will encounter this will effect not only the business but the

workers also, we don’t know what will happen so be ready at any cost. business

competition are cannot avoid in the business they will have a lot of competitors so the

owner should know how to handle it more careful like Selling product that has a Good

quality and Affordable goods price .

CSI mall Bayambang will make sure that the products they offer are new and if

there are a new product CSI mall bayambang will introduce it if there are available using

wise pricing. Extensive advertising and expanded distribution in order to increase their

revenues and growth rate.

Product

CSI mall Bayambang introduced between 20 to 50 different new product every

year. These products are either grocery items, clothes, gadgets, furniture or household

items. These products are target consumers at age 15 and higher. CSI mall Bayambang

make sure that their product are up to date by checking what products are popular and

will benefits the consumers(CSI Supermarket Inc..nd.). By doing this and others, CSI

mall Bayambang will have a variety of products in their market. They have some

branded products when it comes to goods, clothes, gadgets, furniture and household

items that consumers can choose.

Price

CSI mall Bayambang products will be sold according to the suggested retail price

in the Philippines. CSI mall Bayambang believe that they have products quality and

feature advantage, encouraging the use of a price slightly exceeding. This pricing
strategy, coupled with their efficient production methods. Aids in achieving their

relatively high market share for a new product entry.

Distribution

CSI mall Bayambang sell their products of course in their physical store which is

the town of Bayambang. With their current strong distribution style covering almos 50

percent of products sales in their town. They sell their products to anyone who come in

their mall and they make sure that the consumers will find what consumer’s want in the

CSI mall Bayambang.

Promotion

CSI mall Bayambang is well known in the town that they don’t even need a lot of

promotions. But to have more consumers CSI mall Bayambang make promo raffles

every year and discount if there’s an event like holidays and season change. CSI mall

Bayambang also train their staff as polite and reliable as possible to attract more

consumers. Although CSI mall Bayambang only have in one competition in one mall

they still achieve their set goals.

History of Organization

CSI Malls (City Supermarket, Inc.) is a retailer under the CSI Group of Companies

based in Dagupan City, Pangasinan, Philippines. It is the largest retailer in Northern

Luzon. From Candon, Ilocos Sur and Baguio City to Alaminos and Bayambang in

Pangasinan, CSI has been in operation for the past decade providing the best service

and value for money to its customers. Adding support to its operations is the largest

cable network operator in the region: USATV beaming to thousands of households and

providing local news and public announcements as well as coverage of activities in and

around Pangasinan. CSI is a major contributor to the economic growth of Region 1.
