Modern Technology Usage and Education Modality Among SHS Students of Baguio National School of Arts and Trades
(what is the general situation of the research problem? What is the difference of
the situation to the ideal one?)
Some schools have been thinking about how they will mitigate against the next
disruption. They are exploiting where to make high impact, inclusive, and
sustainable investments that will support both teachers and students. The pandemic
has burst and the way we educate children and students really become different.
We can maximize the use of modern technology in providing education. However,
in this time we are still adjusting and coping with it.

Theoritical Framework
Research Question:
This study aims to answer the following questions
1. What is the level of awareness in modern technology usage in
education among TVL students in BNSAT?
2. What is the level of awareness in modern technology usage in
education among gas students in BNSAT?
3. Is there significant difference on the level of awareness in modern
technology usage in education between TVL and GAS students in
BNSAT?
RESEARCH HYPOTHESIS
Null Hypothesis: There is no significant difference of the level of
awareness in modern technology usage in Education between TVL and
GAS students in BNSAT.
Alternative hypothesis: There is significant difference on the level of
awareness in modern technology usage in Education between the GAS
students in BNSAT.
Operational Definition of Terms
• 1. Awareness in modern technology usage refers to the ability of the
students to understand why he/she is using it for greater good or not.
• 2. Senior high school students are those who belong to the Grade 11 and 12
students in BNSAT.
• 3. TVL students are those students enrolled in TVL strands in BNSAT.
• 4. GAS students are those students enrolled in General Academic Strand in
BNSAT.
RESEARCH METHODOLOGY
This study use survey method approach on which data were collected, analyzed,
and interpreted. The respondents are also interviewed on their experiences during
the survey. They share their personal experiences on how they use modern
technology in education. The students gave their perspectives and classified their
awareness as sometimes, rarely, and always depending on the situation. The data
gathered are analyzed and cross–analyzed the findings of the method used.
RESULT AND DISCUSSION
• 1. TVL students of the SHS students in BNSAT has an average level
of awareness in modern technology usage in education.
• 2. GAS students of the SHS students in BNSAT has average level of
awareness in modern technology usage in education.
• 3.There is no significant difference on the level of awareness in
modern technology usage in education between TVL and GAS
student in BNSAT.
CONCLUTIONS
• 1. Both GAS and TVL students in BNSAT has the prior knowledge or
they are aware on when or where to use the modern technology in
pursuing education.
• 2. Some students are not on the side of making technology the
primary source of knowledge because they lack of resources and
internet connection is not that accessible in Poblacion Baguio.
RECOMMENDATION
• 1. The usage of modern technology should be monitored and balanced
to control things in pursuing education.
• 2. School facilitators should implement something that will maximize
the use of modern technology in education with greater cause.
• 3. The competency of the technologies present in our time should be
utilized properly by both student and teacher in the school.
