this poem is dedicated to the martyrs of the Arab uprising of 2011, especially to the young martyrs of Bahrain, who did not have Obama or Hillary Clinton to shed their crocodile tears for them.

“Tears for Martyrs”

We shed our tears


 For beloved martyrs 
Young and old together…
 Without any fears!
                    ***     
 They shed their own blood
 To make good of the bad  
Though it was very very sad 
 Great impacts they have had 
                    ***
 Martyrs died for God’s Glory
 We shall tell their story… 
 Hallaj , Shush-tari and Nory
 Martyrs shine in our history !
                    ***
They were humans, too
Just like me and you 
But they fought through and through…
For what they knew was true!    
                    ***
From Abel, to the Great Hosain!** 
Murdered by Yazid, or another Cain
Nations mourned them again and again
With solemnity and also with pain 
                    ***
They died for what they believed
Though some people were deceived
Martyrdoms were thus conceived
And great goals were achieved
                    ***
But, the martyrs never died!
Even if the devils tried
Deep inside, the people cried:  
“The martyrs have all survived!”
                    ***
